Reading a vendor
Most bad experiences are avoidable by reading the vendor before buying. The information is right there; people skip it.
What to check
- Level and age. A long, consistent history is hard to fake.
- Feedback quality. Read recent, detailed reviews rather than trusting a raw score.
- Dispute record. How a vendor handled past problems predicts how they will handle yours.
- Terms. Read shipping, reship and refund terms before ordering.
Warning signs
Pressure to finalise early, to move off-market, or to pay outside escrow are classic signs of a vendor about to disappear. A trustworthy vendor is comfortable with escrow.Last reviewed 2026-07-11.
