Understanding confirmations
After you send, the market waits for the network to confirm the transaction before crediting your balance. A confirmation is the network agreeing your payment is final.
Why the wait
Confirmations protect both sides from reversed or double-spent payments. The market cannot safely credit a deposit until the network has buried it deep enough to be irreversible.
Why times vary
- Each coin has its own block time and required depth.
- When a network is congested, confirmations take longer; this is outside the market's control.
- A deposit that has not shown yet is almost always simply waiting on confirmations.
Patience
Before opening a support ticket about a missing deposit, confirm on a block explorer that your transaction has the required confirmations.Last reviewed 2026-07-10.
