Plain definitions of the terms used across this handbook and around Zion Market and Tor.

Onion link	A 56-character Tor address ending in .onion that reaches a hidden service. Copy it, verify it, never type it.
Mirror / working link	A distinct onion link reaching the same market. Several are kept warm for resilience.
Escrow	A held contract keeping your payment between paying and confirming receipt.
Finalise-early (FE)	Releasing escrow before an order arrives. It ends your protection and is a common way to lose money.
PGP	Public-key crypto used to verify signed lists, encrypt to vendors, and prove identity at login.
Recovery mnemonic	A phrase that restores an account whose password is lost. Store it on paper. No login asks for it.
Anti-DDoS challenge	A gate that filters automated floods before the login form. Session-bound; solve it once.
Bridge	An unlisted Tor entry relay used where Tor itself is blocked.
Confirmation	The network agreeing a payment is final. Deposits credit after enough confirmations.
Service descriptor	A signed document a client fetches to locate an onion service; a slow fetch is a slow first connection.
Rendezvous point	A relay where client and service meet without either learning the other’s location.
Phishing clone	A pixel-perfect fake market that swaps the address and deposit details to steal from you.
