Passwords done right

One setting removes the most boring but common way accounts fall: a unique, random password stored in a manager.

Why a manager

• It generates a long random password you never have to remember.
• It never reuses a password, so one leak elsewhere cannot open your Zion account.
• It quietly resists phishing: it will not auto-fill your Zion password on a look-alike address, which is a second alarm.

What not to do

Do not reuse a password from anywhere, do not base it on anything guessable, and do not store it in plain text. Combine a unique password with PGP 2FA and account takeover becomes very hard.
