Placing an order

An order is a short, careful sequence. Rushing it is where mistakes happen.

The sequence

  1. Read the listing fully: price, shipping options, terms, and the vendor's reship and refund policy.
  2. Encrypt your delivery details to the vendor's PGP key and paste the block into the order.
  3. Fund the order; the payment enters escrow rather than going to the vendor.
  4. Track the order status and keep the message thread; it is your evidence if anything goes wrong.
Do not
Do not agree to move off-market or pay outside escrow. Both remove every protection you have.
